- a cold-blooded drive to get into the game industry; and
- enjoy long walks on the beach, pina coladas and getting caught in the rain, etc.
Ok, maybe not that last one. But we are very serious about giving new writers a chance to break into the game industry as narrative designers.
So the National Screen Institute — Canada (NSI) and Telefilm Canada, in association with Zeros 2 Heroes Media and a long list of leading game studios are presenting
NSI playWRITE. The program is designed to give new writers their big break into the game space — all you need is the talent and the commitment to work your ass off during the program.

About the National Screen Institute
The NSI is a film and television training centre that is founded on the philosophy that the best way to learn is by doing. Over the years, the various NSI programs have given their graduates a considerable professional edge: more than 97% of respondents to the most recent alumni survey have careers in the film and television industry.
NSI is hoping to realize similar success in the videogame industry. Working with leading game studios and more traditional entertainment agencies, the
NSI playWRITE program is a first effort to give creative writers the skills to become successful narrative designers... and earn that all-important first professional credit.
